Last week saw us at the Royal Norfolk Show with the largest stand we have had to date. The weather was interesting on the Wednesday (to say the least!) but overall it was an amazing two days, with over 1,000 cups of tea and coffee given out to visitors to the marquee and Pimms until we ran out of lemonade. All 2,000 special RNS Buy Local Norfolk bags were also given out!
We couldn’t have pulled off this event without the help of lots of different people, and we want to take this opportunity to thank you all, so in no particular order:
Emma Raines for pulling out the stops to produce the excellent artwork for the giant banner, pop ups and fliers and printed within a ridiculously unreasonable time frame!
Julie’s brother in law, David Hunt, for the very kind loan of his van for the week
Pete Freeman and Justine Thomas from Freeclix and Simrush for the fantastic free wifi within the marquee, and for being so patient in setting it up in awful conditions!
Andy Glanville from Inspired Renewables for sorting out the electrics, and making sure we didn’t electrocute ourselves!
Rob Scott for the fantastic bar area within the marquee, the gift of the hot water boiler, storage space in the shed, and all his and his team’s help and support
David Williams of Coffee Express for the loan of the coffee machine, filters and coffee.
Kerry Groves and Dan Ellis from Epic Chair Covers for decorating the marquee so it looked amazing, and all your support and help over the week – including washing the tablecloths and changing the chair covers and helping clear up on the Wednesday evening after Pimms and Pizza!
Mike at Wildcraft Brewery for providing the delicious beer for the Wednesday evening!
Charlotte and Phoebe from Face to Face Finance for saving the day when Voodoo Daddy refused to deliver, by going to collect the pizzas for the Wednesday evening’s Pimms and Pizza evening.
Chelle from Adrenalize, for not only coming on Wednesday during the day to replace Julie, and to do whatever needed doing, but for coming on the Monday morning to help decorate the marquee.
Tony Vale for coming along on the Wednesday to support the team, with handing out bags and doing whatever needed doing.
Elwira Zwolinska for coming along on Wednesday afternoon and helping with handing out bags.
Andy and Judith Glanville for helping themselves and loaning us their staff to help over both days in the bar area, and handing out bags, and doing whatever needed doing.
Sara Greenfield for offering to help on the Wednesday and providing social media support.
Everyone who re-tweeted, liked and commented on our posts!
Matt the Bee for getting so many people into the marquee – by whatever methods possible
The Benjamin Foundation for their Butterfly Hunt
And finally all of our fabulous exhibitors, who made the two days such a success, thank you for putting up with the poor weather conditions and being so understanding when we were partly flooded out – and thank you for being there and being part of our amazing marquee!
Here’s to 2018!!
