Norfolk Day 2021
Norfolk Day 2021, happening 27th July, now in its fourth year, backed by EDP and BBC Radio Norfolk. We’re so excited to celebrate our beautiful county and the fantastic array of local independent businesses who make Norfolk a treasured place to live, work and play!
Here at Buy Local Norfolk we advocate buying locally. We know that this directly invests in the future of Norfolk by:
- circulating more money within the local economy
- creating more jobs
- opportunities and innovation
- tourism – bringing more money in
- reduces our carbon footprint
- and makes Norfolk Unique and Characterful
So for us Norfolk Day is an opportunity to raise the profile of our local businesses. What better way to do it once restrictions are lifted, than to take BLN on TOUR across Norfolk! This is also a fantastic opportunity for our 3 kickstart employees to discover more about the wealth of local businesses we are so lucky to have!
Throughout the month of July…
We are super active on social and love promoting what our members are up to. Throughout July we’ll be working overtime showcasing our members covering everything from:
- what they love about Norfolk
- their favourite places to visit
- their Norfolk day events and activities
- some of their ‘biztory’
- and how they help make Norfolk great!
(Note to members- remember to tag us @buylocalnorfolk in your posts and add #NorfolkDay!)
Throughout the week from July 27th …
From Tuesday 27th July we’ll kick off ‘BLN On Tour’ visiting various locations around Norfolk until Saturday. We invite you all to guess along with us as we share clues hinting our next stops. We’ll be visiting our member businesses and other local independents along the way with lots of live sharing across our social channels- so keep your eyes peeled!
Our in-person Networking also will return on Norfolk Day!
There is no better time for us to return to face to face networking than Norfolk Day! We will be waving the Norfolk flags and meeting our members and other local businesses in person on 27th July at College Farm B&B and Wedding Venue in Thompson from 6-8pm. Unsurprisingly our members have embraced this occasion with lots already having booked!
We also have:
- nibbles compliments of The Picnic Basket Norfolk
- some yummy cakes, tea and coffee from College Farm
- and garden games supplied by Vintage Partyware including connect 4 and stocks for anyone who misbehaves!
All are welcome, not just members and it’s free!

We have just joined ( Sweet Smiles of Norfolk Limited ) We only launched at the end of June and have already received some tremendous local support. We are running our very first pop up shop outside the Thorpe St Andrew Town Council office at Thorpe Pavillion on Saturday 17th July and would love to invite you and the members along. Any support you could give us in the run up to and on the day of the event would be hugely appreciated.
Hi James, that sounds like a fab event! We are compiling a what’s on Guide and will be sharing out local events across our networks and to our members via email, so this is definitely something we can help promote for you. We’ll also try to make it along to the event if we can. Could you email full event details – start tie- event link etc to office@buylocalnorfolk.org.uk please?
